DISCOVERY:

On September 27, 1987, partial skeletal remains were found in a vacant field, off the 8100 block of Leghorn Street, in Houston, Harris County, Texas.

AUTOPSY:

An autopsy was performed, which determined the decedent, who was female, could have been dead anywhere from three months to two years. Her cause of death was stabbing, with several wounds noted on the remains.

DETAILS:

Jane Doe is described as an African-American female between the ages of 15 and 25. She stood from 4’10” to 5’4″, with her other distinguishing features, such as her weight and eye colour, unable to be determined, given the state of the remains. The decedent’s hair, which was 24″ long and either black or brown in colour, was matted and possibly synthetic.

When found, Jane Doe was wearing blue jean shorts; a belt with a gold-coloured man’s buckle attached to it; and white leather-type shoes with short, spiked heels. They were a size 7. A red strapless bra and a tan short-sleeved Gulf Coast Sportswear t-shirt were found near the body. The shirt had a round neckline and red/orange lettering that read, “Sam’s Place 97 Rock Houston Gamblers,” on the front.

RULE OUTS:
  1. Pamela Ann Pedro, who went missing from Atwater, California, on September 13, 1982.
