DISCOVERY:

On July 4, 1984, the partial skeletal remains of an unidentified female were located along the northbound lanes of I-65, about 2.5 miles south of Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky. The remains were approximately 30′ to 40′ from the roadway, near the right-of-way fence.

AUTOPSY:

Jane Doe’s remains were examined upon being brought to the local medical examiner’s office. It was determined she’d died several months to two years prior to be found, which would put her death between November 1982 and July 1983.

Her cause of death is unknown.

DETAILS:

The deceased is described as a white female between the ages of 12 and 20. However, most believe the age range is more narrow and put her between 12 and 16 years old. She stood between 4’8″ and 5’0″, and weighed approximately 90 to 115 pounds. She had brown hair. Give the level of decomposition, her eye colour couldn’t be determined.

When found, Jane Doe was wearing a long-sleeve pullover blouse that was orange, gold, brown and dark green in colour. She also had on a pair of red corduroy Levi pants and one sock with white, red and blue fibres.

Her dental records show she had dental work completed within four to five years prior to her death. She had several fillings, and there were signs of hypoplasia on her bottom two middle teeth.

There was a healed injury to the back of her skull, and she possibly had a scar on her right elbow.
